Greeting from the Director of the Institute of Danube Research on the occasion of Romania’s National Day – Ziua Marii Uniri

Dear friends and partners in Romania,

On behalf of the Institute of Danube Research, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Romania’s National Day – the Great Union Day (Ziua Marii Uniri), a celebration of unity, dignity and the European spirit of the Romanian people.

This day symbolizes the strength of national cohesion and the aspiration for peace, freedom and justice — values that are crucial for the stability of our entire region. Romania remains a trusted partner of Ukraine in strengthening security, developing the Danube region, advancing transport and energy corridors, and promoting our shared European goals.

We deeply appreciate Romania’s solidarity, its support for the people of Ukraine, and its vital contribution to the resilience of the Euro-Danube macro-region.
