International Danube Tourist Regatta TID arrives in Vetren on August 29

The International Danube Tourist Regatta (Tour International Danubien, TID) will arrive in the village of Vetren, Silistra Municipality, on August 29 at 18:00. The rowers will be welcomed by village mayor Ivanka Slavova, Silistra mayor Alexander Sabanov, and water sports enthusiasts.

A vibrant folklore program has been prepared for the participants. The regatta, held annually since 1956, started this year on June 28 in Ingolstadt (Germany) and will end on September 6 in Brăila (Romania). Its route covers more than 2,500 km across 10 countries.

The Bulgarian section stretches for about 500 km from Novo Selo to Vetren, with stops in Vidin, Lom, Kozloduy, Nikopol, Svishtov, Ruse, Tutrakan, and Silistra.
