Romania nears completion of the Tisza Bridge linking Maramureș and Zakarpattia

The Institute of Danube Research reports that construction of the Tisza River bridge in Maramureș County (Romania) is nearing completion. The bridge will serve as a new border crossing with Ukraine.

According to Gabriel Valer Zetea, President of the Maramureș County Council, the project is 82.7% complete. Once opened, the bridge and border checkpoint will create a new channel of communication between Romania and Ukraine, strengthening economic, cultural, and social cooperation.
