The State Audit Office Presented the Results of Monitoring the Implementation of the Danube Regional Programme in Budapest


In Budapest (Hungary), a regular meeting of the Working Group of National Controllers of the Danube Regional Programme 2021–2027 (Danube Interreg) was held with the participation of representatives from 15 European countries.
Ukraine was represented by Deputy Head of the State Audit Office Yuliia Solianyk and Deputy Head of the Department — Head of the Division for Monitoring the Implementation of the Danube Regional Programme of the EU Programme Implementation Control Department, Tetiana Tyrrell.
The meeting addressed a number of key issues regarding the improvement of expenditure control within the implementation of projects under this Programme at the national level.
Participants also exchanged practical experience in interacting with and supporting project partners, as well as in implementing effective mechanisms to prevent fraud and other irregularities.
The international participants agreed to continue cooperation and to conduct joint training sessions for controllers and partners within the framework of the Danube Regional Programme.
It should be recalled that the Danube Regional Programme 2021–2027 (Danube Interreg) is aimed at promoting good neighbourliness, cooperation, and development in the Danube Region.
