Ukraine’s maritime corridor reaches 150 million tons of cargo

Despite ongoing attacks, Ukraine’s seaports continue to operate.
Through the Ukrainian maritime corridor, over 150 million tons of cargo have already been transported — including 90 million tons of grain delivered by more than 6,000 vessels to 55 countries.
“We are expanding the network of shelters in ports — 30 permanent and 21 mobile protective structures are already functioning across the ports of Greater Odesa.
By the end of the year, another 28 will be completed,”
— said Oleksii Kuleba, Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
In 2024, maritime routes accounted for 71% of Ukraine’s agricultural exports, while the Danube ports and EU Solidarity Lanes handled 13% and 15% respectively.
The Institute of Danube Research notes that Ukraine’s maritime and Danube corridors together form a dual resilience system — ensuring the country’s economic security, European integration, and food stability in the Black Sea and Danube regions.
